Questions drivers ask
Do diesel cars pay more to park?
In some councils, yes. Kensington and Chelsea prices its on-street bays by fuel, for example £2.00 for electric, £2.70 for petrol and £3.10 for diesel, and Camden adds a diesel surcharge to its emissions-banded rates. Driveboard shows every rate the council publishes for a bay, so you can see what your car will pay before you park.
Is Driveboard free?
Yes. Finding bays, car parks, fuel prices and garages, bay prices and restrictions, and pay reminders are all free. Driveboard Pro costs £4.99 a month or £19.99 a year and adds Street View of each bay, destination search and no ads.
Which areas does Driveboard cover?
On-street bays come from eight councils so far: Westminster, Camden, Kensington and Chelsea, Sutton, the City of Edinburgh, Nottingham, Fife and Renfrewshire. Car parks, fuel prices and garages cover the whole of the UK, and more councils are being added.
Where do the fuel prices come from?
From the open price feeds UK fuel retailers are required to publish. Driveboard refreshes them through the day and shows petrol and diesel prices at each forecourt, and can sort forecourts near you by price.
How do I know a garage does MOTs?
Garages are checked against DVSA's own list of active MOT test stations. Only garages DVSA authorises to test cars are marked as doing MOTs.
Can I pay for parking in Driveboard?
Not yet. Driveboard shows how to pay for each bay, for example RingGo or PayByPhone, and reminds you to pay so you don't come back to a ticket.

Yes. Driveboard is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. It also works in any phone browser at driveboard.co.uk/app.
